Stop at Casares Beach Bar (Chiriguito) for a drink or a meal. Or stroll along the beach past more beach bars. Watch the kite surfers if its a windy day. Walk on to Sabinillas with esplanade of bars, shops and restaurants. Or walk a bit further to Duquesa with its marina.

Immediately North of the Casares apartment - drive into the Sierra Bermeja mountains

Casares village has white painted houses piled precariously on the hillside with tiny streets. Still virtually unspoilt by tourism, Casares is designated an Historic Artistic Complex and is considered to be one of the prettiest white Spanish villages in the Costa del Sol.
Climb to the top of the Casares hill in the middle of the village to the graveyard and church right at the top of the hill, and you can see views of Africa, Gibraltar. Watch the birds of prey including eagles that live in the craggy mountain sides and on still days can be seen soaring through the skies.
